John Fogerty - Revival
Fantasy Records
www.johnfogerty.com

Rating: B

One need only look at the title to figure out what the music sounds like on John Fogerty's latest release Revival. Just in case there are any airheads out there track # 3, "Creedence Song" should clear up any confusion.

"Don't You Wish It Was True" shows off the country rock, acoustic side of Fogerty, sounding as fresh and clear as any of his previous acoustic attempts. "Longshot," "Broken Down Cowboy" and "Natural Thing" are some of the best of the bunch, each bringing back the sound of CCR. "Summer of Love" is an ode to the 60's complete with a riff reminiscent of "Sunshine of Your Love."

The entire disc has a positive and happy feeling about it. While it may not be Cosmo's Factory or Bayou Country, it is John Fogerty doing what he does best.
