Contact Jeb

Jeb Wright created and founded Classic Rock Revisited in 1999. His vision and dedication to the music he loves has been admired in both the classic rock community and by readers of CRR. Jeb has been interviewed numerous times about CRR but more often than not, it is he who is asking the questions. Classic Rock Revisited has featured interviews with Jeb and Rock Legends Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, Sammy Hagar of Van Halen, Kansas, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Grand Funk, The Allman Brothers, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple and dozens of others. Jeb has also been published in Classic Rock Magazine in the UK, In Rock Magazine in Spain and many other outlets around the world.

Jeb leads a team of dedicated writers who make up the best team that anyone on the internet has to offer. He is amazed at his success and at his luck at attracting both top name talent to interview and to write for him. “Ryan Sparks, Dan Wall, Wendy Rae, Clyde Bradley and Lee Graham are the best rock writers I have ever worked with. I am one lucky guy to be able to hold on to them. We have also been very lucky to feature interviews conducted by such legends of music journalism as Mitch Lafon, Martin Popoff and Joe Lalaina. Every day I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming!”

Currently Residing: Arkansas City, Kansas
Married : Yes, Patty, since June 15, 1996.
Children: 2 – one of each.
Personal Motto: Another Day Older & Deeper in Debt & 1 Day Closer to Death.
How did you come to write for Classic Rock Revisited?
I don’t remember?
First album you bought:
Jim Croce, You Don’t Mess Around with Jim
Approximate number of concerts you’ve attended:
God only knows. A bunch but not nearly as many as Dan Wall -- that is just scary.
First Concert:
First REAL Concert was Van Halen in 1982. It was in Kansas City. Diver Down tour. I was hooked. I attended many bar band concerts before that.  Vain, Jefferson Davis Band, The Click, Limousine, Plain Jane ect.
Favorite Concert:
It still does not get better than Uriah Heep in a tiny bar in 2001 in Oklahoma City. I was two feet from Mick Box. AWESOME. A close second is Blue Oyster Cult in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The bar had a mechanical horse and mechanical sheep. You would sit on it and the sheep shoot out across the floor and you were supposed to lasso them. BOC put on a hell of show but only me and a guy named Gary realized the treat we were seeing. The rest of the crowd were drunk cowboys who had probably never heard of the band.
Worst Concert:
Vince Neal solo. Saw him three times and he was drunk, fat and obnoxious each time. He was opening for Tesla. In Oklahoma City they had to roll the opening “Shout at the Devil” tape twice because he could not walk up the ramp. I saw him almost fall on his ass. It was embarrassing to watch. His voice was terrible.
Favorite Rock n’ Roll Movie:
This is a tie and it really makes no sense as they are all very different. A. Rocky Horror B. The Wall C. Spinal Tap
Favorite Band:
Blue Oyster Cult and Kansas
Least Favorite Band:
Bon Jovi
The most embarrassing CD in my collection is:
None are embarrassing to me but my friends make fun of my Men at Work, GoGos and Modern English. I also get a lot of crap for Bat Out of Hell but I consider it to be a classic.
Biggest Rock Nerd Memorabilia I own:
Hmmm, I have a lot of autographed promo photos and CDs… AHHHH I have it. Dolls of Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper and a toy version of Ted Nugent’s truck that are all still in the box. In my defense, I didn’t buy them. My sister bought them as gifts. But, I do take them out of the closet and look at them from time to time.
Favorite Rock T-shirt I ever owned or still own is:
Scorpions Love at First Sting tour t-shirt. I loved that shirt. I gave it to a buddy who worked out a lot in the 80’s and I still hate that I let it go. I wish I still had it.
Craziest thing I ever did for Rock ‘n Roll:
Start a website about it.
