HIS APPETITE
FOR DESTRUCTION: AN INTERVIEW WITH STEVEN ALDER
Conducted by Jeb Wright, December 2010
Produced by Kevin Clark
Steven Adler is known as one of the biggest walking
train wrecks in rock n’ roll. Decades from now people
will still be talking about Keith Richards, Dave
Mustaine, Pete Willis and Steven Adler. Damn, they
should start a band.
We met up with Steven while he is in the studio
recording the newest Adler’s Appetite album. The music
we heard ain’t half bad. Steven was in a friendly mood,
as usual, and was willing to talk about anything we
threw at him. He openly talked about drugs, having sex
with nine groupies with Steven Tyler, trying to be
sober, writing his recent autobiography and his desire
to reunite Gun ‘n Roses.
Steven misses his old band mates, especially Slash
and Axl Rose. While he admits they are all a bunch of
assholes he also says they are like brothers.
What follows is an interview that is candidly honest
and open. From admitting his ambulance ride on Dr.
Drew’s Celebrity Rehab was staged to talking about his
of music one thing is for sure, Steven Adler is genuine
and likable. If he can successfully save himself from
himself then maybe one day his dreams will once again
come true, only this time he might be able to remember
them.
