Jack Osbourne went behind the camera to do a
documentary on his famous father, Ozzy Osbourne. The
result is a look back at Ozzy from growing up in war
torn Aston to his current status as a clean and sober
aging rocker looking back at his life.
Jack was able to take the camera into places a normal
filmmaker would not be able to take it and the result is
up close and very personal interviews with Ozzy’s family
and friends. The most emotional moments center on Ozzy’s
kids and his failings as a father. Also emotional is
Rudy Sarzo speaking of the plane crash that killed
guitarist Randy Rhoades.
Much of the historical rhetoric found in the film has
been very well documented so sitting through Ozzy and
dove or bat biting instances or his drug drooling days
where he smeared his own poop on hotel walls has been
done before, however, the interviews with Ozzy’s kids,
and with Ozzy himself are what make this one special.
You will laugh, be grossed out, be star struck and be
bewildered by the end of the show, throughout the flick,
though, you will be glued to the set.
