The Sweden Rock Festival has made a name for
themselves over the past several years as one of the
biggest and best festivals in the world. Each year they
put together a huge lineup of bands, from the biggest to
bands just trying to get a their start. The result is an
amazing exhibition of hard rock and metal not seen
anywhere else on the globe.
Jorn knows this and they took to the stage at Sweden
Rock with something to prove and with the tapes
a-rolling. At the end of the night, they had the makings
of a killer CD/DVD that will be snapped up faster than
you can say, “This guy sounds like Ronnie James Dio.”
Jorn has been pumping out his brand of Viking Metal
for years and is well known around the world, even
though he has never made much of a splash in America. In
fact, for USA Metal fans, this album will introduce you
to the band in a big way, and also make you itching to
get a plane ticket to Sweden for this year’s festival.
The best of the bunch are “Road of the Cross,”
“Shadow People,” “Spirit Black,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Angel,”
“Are You Ready” and “War of the World.”
Jorn is a good performer, he has the look, sound and
the band for his style of Norse God Metal. He is a joy
to watch and listen too. If you are just discovering the
band then this is a great place to start. If you are
already a fan then this is a great concert that will
have you looking for those leather wristbands and studs
you bought back in 1987.
