Rolling Stones – Tattoo You
Universal Music
www.rollingstones.com

Rating: B+

Universal Music have done a very nice job re-releasing and remastering several albums from the Rolling Stones.  In this review, I will concentrate on the last great Stones album to be released, Tattoo You.

This album was well received upon its release and has become one of the ‘must own’ records by the band.  The album bookends with two of the most popular songs the band has ever recorded, “Start Me Up” and “Waiting On A Friend.”  While these are great songs, there are plenty of other moments that, while they did not climb the charts, make this album special.  Keith singing “Little T&A” is outstanding and “Hang Fire” and “Neighbors” are best when cranked up to ten.

It is great to see this CD back on the racks, reminding us of a time when it was important to buy the album and not just download the single.
