Lotta Love: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks
Split Screen Entertainment
www.splitscreenentertainment.com
Rating: B+
The larger the cushion the sweeter the
pushing, baby! Guys that love to ride mopeds will eat
this one up (remember the joke… how is a fat chick and a
moped alike? They are both fun to ride but you don't
want your friends to see you on them). Well, this album
will take the shame out of loving the big un's out
there. It's the first ever public, hard rockin'
celebration of rolling 'em in flour and looking for the
wet spot.
Tons of 80's rockers guest on the
album, pumping out riff after riff in homage to the
large, lovely ladies. "Whole
Lotta Rosie" features Cinderella's Jeff Lebar on
lead
guitar while "Fat Bottom Girls" has LA Guns
Phil Lewis
handling the vocals. The band Triangle Excursion pump
out a Stones like "Big Fat Sexy Mama" while the
Spinal Tap
classic "Big Bottom" is hammered out by
Twisted
Sister's
Eddie
Ojeda. "Whole Lotta Love" features Quiet Riot's
Alex
Grossi and Frankie
Banali and, as most other tracks on the album, it
rocks like a big dog… errr… a big woman. A Big mama?
Well, it rocks, so lets just leave it at that.
This is a funny, albeit tacky, album.
However, the songs are performed well and the tributes
seem heartfelt. So, big gals take a look at the artists
on this compilation and then start lining up by the
backstage door as rock n' roll loving is headed your
way! This album won't be over, even if the
fat lady
starts singing, and sing she will, as on this collection
of tunes, she is the star. Take that supermodels!
This album was made for 40+ year old
men out there who are forever 13 and the plus sized gals
that like to shake, wobble and wiggle it for all to see.
