Bob Seger’s Greatest Hits is one of the best
selling best of’s in the history of rock music so why is
Bob putting out another one? Because he can! And this
time he expanded it to two discs and put a couple songs
not on the first one.
Of course there are classics including “Old Time Rock
and Roll,” “Hollywood Nights,” “Night Moves,” “Mainstreet,”
“Roll Me Away,” “Turn the Page,” “We’ve Got Tonight,”
“Like a Rock,” “Fire Lake,” “Against the Wind” and
Shakedown.” However, this one includes the live versions
of “Traveling Man” and “Beautiful Loser” and studio
versions of “Tryin’ to Live My Life Without You,”
“Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man,” “Katmandu” and “Her Strut.”
Just in time for Christmas, Bob includes “Little Drummer
Boy” and you can hear his latest single “Downtown
Train.”
Hopefully, soon we will get a hits collection of the
early stuff like “Come to Papa” but until then, this one
will more than do.
