Motorhead is still kicking it. Front man and bandleader Lemmy
may be old enough to retire from a regular job but at 65 years
of age he is far from being done rocking his ass off.
The album starts off with “Born to Lose” and you know right
away who you’re listening to. Motorhead is going to sound like
Motorhead just like AC/DC is going to sound like AC/DC as both
bands subscribe to the theory of “If it ain’t broke then don’t
fix it.”
“Waiting for the Snake,” “Get Back in Line” and “Rock ‘N’
Roll Music” are all prime examples of the kind of killer hard
rock that can still be made if one only has the drive and
passion to care about what the fuck they are doing. Lemmy knows
no other way. He will never sing pretty, he will never be
pretty, Motorhead will never feature a ballad on an album and
Lemmy will never perform a soft shoe routine. He will, however,
continue to live fast, defy nature and crank it up to 11. This
one is obviously a gift from Motorhead to all true rock n’ roll
motherfuckers. Thank God for that.
Lemmy for President!
