Frankenstein 3000- Where Do We Go
From Here
Main Man Records

Rating: B
Hard rock married punk, fucked a lot, and then gave birth to
Frankenstein 3000. While the band have made a name for
themselves in the Northeast, most rock fans, elsewhere,
are unaware of the band. It is really a shame as these
guys really do mix punk and hard rock to perfection.
The latest album features mostly original tunes but also
a punky version of Elvis Costello’s “Green Shirt.” It
is not the remake that makes the band, though. Think of
that as more of a fun bonus. What makes Frankenstein
3000 a great band are their songs. “Getaway” and “Mind
Over Matter” are damn good tunes that deserve to be
heard. “30 Days” is the best song on the album and a
great tribute to rehab.
The band can play too. There are lots of great hooks,
guitar solos and good vocals (something all to often
missing on the indi band circuit.) The band has been
around a decade, staying under the radar. Now is the
time for rock fans to embrace this band. If you love
hard rocking music with a punk edge, original lyrics and
song themes, and bands with loads of attitude, then do
yourself a favor and check this band out at their
official website. Visit Frankenstein 3000 at
