In 1968, Jimi Hendrix performed six incredible
concerts over the course of three days at the legendary
Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The Jimi Hendrix
Experience were reaping huge success around the globe
and these shows celebrated the band’s second anniversary
together.
Each of the four discs are amazing testaments to Jimi
and his bands musical brilliance. Each disc features a
few of the same must-play standards but each set list
was different for each of the three shows. The fourth
disk is a bonus disk of songs from each concert as well.
You get “Manic Depression,” “Are You Experienced?,” “Tax
Free,” “Little Wing,” “Killing Floor”, “Like a Rolling
Stone,” “Foxey Lady,” “Hey Joe” “Purple Haze,” “Red
House,” “Voodoo Child” and many, many more. Also
included on the bonus disc is a rare interview from
backstage at the Boston Garden.
This is a must-own for any guitar player, as well as
any true fan of Jimi Hendrix. These discs sound amazing
and will bring hours upon hours or rock n’ roll ecstasy.
