When the Scorpions farewell tour landed in their home
country of Germany, the band decided to film the show
and do a little something special…record it in a very
special type of 3D. The concert actually comes to life
as Klaus Meine points the microphone right in your face
and Rudolf Schenker’s guitar bashes into your skull.
The band is on fire and it is truly a shame that this
is the last tour the band will undergo. It is, however,
one hell of a concert. The Scorpions are going out on
top of their game. Matthias Jabs and Schenker are both
solid guitarists who are fun to watch while James Kottak
puts on a drum clinic and a very entertaining drum solo
during the set.
Not all of the classis are played but many are
represented including “Make It Real,” “Bad Boys Running
Wild,” “The Zoo,” “Coast to Coast,” “Loving You Sunday
Morning,” “Holiday,’ “Dynamite,” “Blackout,” “Big City
Nights,” “Still Loving You” and “Rock You Like a
Hurricane.” The band bring out the best of their last
studio release of all new material including the title
track, “Sting in the Tail” along with “Raised on Rock”
and “The Best is Yet to Come.”
At the end of the day, the Scorpions are an amazing
live band and this show continues their legacy of
rocking the house down but brings it right to your
living room….in 3D no less.
