The
Limit – Reinventing the Sun
www.thelimitmusic.com
Rating: C
The
Limit is a three-piece band of youngsters out of Connecticut with a very
strong rock ‘ roll sound. The singer has long blonde locks and,
physically, reminds one of a young Robert Plant.
The
music is solid. I suppose ‘solid’ in industry terms is kinda like
saying a blind date has a great personality. The songs are good, the
musicianship acceptable and the performances and arrangements don’t
disappoint. The band is not reinventing the sun, however, they are
experimenting with trying to put their own stamp on the classic sound.
While not an instant classic, these young men are onto something. The
album is worth checking out and the band certainly have this classic
rocker’s curiosity peaked. The Limit have not reached their limit yet.
Just remember, sometimes that blind date with the good personality has a
good body to match. Seeing how this band follows up this disc will be
interesting, to say the least.
