Thin Lizzy fans are, to coin a song from the band, dedicated.  They will drool over this release from the German television show Rockpalast.  Recorded back in 1981, Are You Ready could be found as a bootleg.  Now, it is an official release.  The sound is decent and the picture good for the most part, however, there are times the lighting does not come off well on the film used to record the show.  

At nearly two hours long and with a set list that includes the classics such as “The Boys Are Back In Town,” “Cowboy Song,” “Rosalie” and “Jailbreak” this is sure to be a huge hit for Lizzy-heads around the globe.  Leader Phil Lynott is an iconic figure in rock and seeing him live and in the flesh is mesmerizing.  Remember, Lizzy had their biggest days before MTV so unless you saw the band live in concert you had to imagine Phil moving around.   

Thin Lizzy belong in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.  It is a shame they do not get the respect they deserve.  Even though this DVD came after the classic line up of the band and Phil and guitarist Scott Gorham appear as if they might be high, Lizzy still perform amazingly.  This is a ‘must own’ for all rock fans.
