A Melodic Rock band from Sweden? Or should I say,
another Melodic Rock band from Sweden? This country must
be happy all the time as the music they are churning out
is full of fun hooks and melodies that remind one of the
best of Journey, Survivor and The Outfield.
Work of Art, however, is in another league as this is
one talented band. The album opens with a tune called
“The Rain” that is so well written and polished one
swears it must have been a huge hit that he or she
missed along the way. The entire album is this good.
Vocalist Lars Safsund, guitar and keyboardist Robert
Sall and drummer Herman Furin have crafted a great
sounding album and created a great sound for their band.
The solos are crisp, the hooks grab ya and the soft
spots make you want to pull your honey closer. “Never
Love Again,” “Call On Me,” “Fall Down” and “Nature of
the Game” will have this one blasting out of your
speakers again and again.
The band swears they are going to start playing live
so lets hope they keep this kind of momentum going as it
is catching.
