Rating A-

In the fall of 2014 it looked like Megadeth were done. Along comes Kiko Loureiro on lead guitar and Chris Adler of Lamb Of God on drums to save the day!

With the opening track "The Threat Is Real" you know that you’re in for one heck of a head-banging album. The title track "Dystopia" follows and keeps up the pace with a solid rhythm. Killer riffs and fantastic leads highlight the song.

"Fatal Illusion" and "Death From Within" are both shining examples of why Mr. Mustaine chose Kiko Loureiro to play lead guitar. What a monster player!

For a band that supposedly puts out hit or miss albums I can tell you this one’s a hit. My favorite track on Dystopia has got to be "Post American World" This one features a kick-ass riff, dive bombing lead guitars and lyrics that make you really think make. This song is a Megadeth classic. "Foreign Policy" is another track with all of the traits that made me fall in love with "Post American World."

If you're a longtime fan of Megadeth, and have heard rumors of dissention in the band, then this album proves that all is well in the Megadeth camp.

Dystopia is without a doubt their best album since Countdown To Extinction. Don't believe me? Put on Dystopia and be prepared to be amazed by the heaviness of this album. If you don't like it, or in some way find fault with it, well then you're just being too picky.

Head bang away people, head bang away...
